Qingpu South Dianpu River Area Plan

The plan consists of  two parts, a detailed design for a 100 hectare parcel south of Dianpu River, and a landscape plan of a 170-hectare parcel, both at the entrance of the Huqingping Expressway and on each side of Waiqingsong Road.
The purpose of the planning are to improve the image of the city entrance and to create an impressive city ‘gate’, and the preservation the ecological system of the Dianpu River.  The creation of a European style landscape together with a club building beside the river  recalls the European lifestyle,  improves the residential life quality, and leads other residences to a higher quality and luxury class lifestyle.

 At the entrance from the Huqingping Expressway, a large-scale elliptical water feature is designed to create an open space and broad expansive view of the development.  The water is in harmonious scale with the bridges around and is a metaphor to Qingpu, a traditional water town. At the furthest end of the water is a group of villas.  Along Waiqingsong Road, island and water are the closest landscape.  Further away are six low-rise apartments, and at the other end is the neo-urbanism community dominated by four and a half storey buildings.  The community on the south of Dianpu River is divided into three similar parts from the east to the west.  East of Qingsong Road low-rise apartments are designed with a church on the site. South of the eastern park are low-rise apartments.  The  remaining buildings, range in height from four to seven storeys.

The eastern park covers an area of 6.7 hectares and is a counterpoint south of the central axis of Qingpu.  Between the old Huqingping Road and Huqingping Expressway is green space. At the intersection of Huqing Road and old Huqingping Road are a supermarket and gas station. The GFA of the supermarket, south of Dianpu River in the block between Waiqingsong Road, Huqingping expressway, and Tongsan Road, is 10,000 square meters .
