Shanghai Yujing Garden

Client: Shanghai Dahua Group

The Yujing Garden in Shanghai Putuo District has a 40m green belt as a primary design that creates a comfortable living environment.

Clusters of housing are located next to the, central located, 40m green way. A bridge over a waterway functions as the introduction to a landscape corridor, which is linked, by a series of pedestrian entrances, to a clubhouse at Fushui. Wanquan Road provides a gentle transition from a natural environment toward a man made built environment.

The masterplan has several design features including the most luxurious and large housing types located beside the green belt. The mid-rise buildings are along the east to west main road. This contrasts the high-rise buildings. These buildings emphasize and compliment the central green belt. The high rise buildings with their slab like character located along Fushui Road provide a magnificent 360 degrees view of the sky-line.

The ¡®tower¡¯ high-rise buildings form the highest point at the north west corner of the site. At the lower level they merge with the low-scale social and commercial facilities creating a new and alternative architectural image. This image is reflected by its outstanding fa?ade design. The housing entrances open up the ground foyer to the surrounding green belt.
